Introducing AUNEGE
Teachers of Economic Sciences or Management Sciences can no longer ignore communication technologies and digital media designed for educational purposes . The ease with which their students use this technology demands that electronic communication be seen as a natural an indispensable method of communication. Traditional paper resources are now accompanied and often outnumbered by digital online resources. Sequences of traditional classroom-based courses are now stored in computer memories and retrieved when needed.
The development of digital working environments ( environnements numériques de travail or ENT in French) by universities and the provision of platforms which help teachers to support their students' work are blurring the distinction between traditional attendance-based teaching and distance learning. One complements the other: attendance-based education can be accompanied by follow-up work carried out at distance; distance learning can be punctuated by face-to-face meetings or a more balanced combination of the two may be used.
The latest challenge relates to the resources, the sequencing of classes and the documents provided for the students' independent work . Digital resources take a long time to prepare and often require specialised tools that are complicated to use. The use of specialist technicians saves time but is expensive. This often hinders efforts to modernise teaching methods.
The members of AUNEGE (universities, colleges and the CNED [French National Distance Learning Centre]) have decided to share their educational resources in order to reduce the costs for individual participants in terms of time and money.
They have assembled resources corresponding to all levels of university study in Economics and Management . These resources apply to both general education and professional training offered in both subjects. The combination of these two areas can, of course, offer a wider range of resources than either of the disciplines offered individually.
The resources are digitised and can therefore be used in a varied range of situations:
As additional courses offered by the universities for study at home or in the workplace ;
In courses delivered partly or wholly online, which allow students a great deal of flexibility in how they organise their time.
Resources offered by members of AUNEGE cover an extremely wide range of educational courses:
National qualifications within the LMD (Bachelor's-Master's-Doctorate) system
Initial and continuing education and learning, along with traditional attendance-based courses and distance-learning Additional courses required by people hoping to return to education in order to improve their qualifications via the validation of skills and knowledge acquired at university, in the work place or in their professional livesÂ
Or, quite simply, as additional resources that teachers can incorporate into their programmes of study
AUNEGE is an association of educational establishments. For access to certain resources, teachers must belong to a member establishment. |
